| Located at the delta of Batang Kuantan river in Kuantan Sengingi, Riau, Padang Candi has indicated traces of the past Sriwijaya Hindu-Buddha cultures through a series of researches from 2010 to 2013. A number of researches on Sriwijayan Buddhism theories and concepts, the findings of golden inscription plates with Buddhism mantra along with the discovery location at the site, and other archaelogical findings have strongly suggested the site of being not only Buddha Mahayana sanctuary, but also as a Mandala, a settlement of Priests community. |
