Indonesia is the largest country having palm oil plantation which is accounted having 10.450.000 ha spreads across 23 provinces. Producing such amount crude palm oil will also yield solid residues. These solid residues are potential to annually yield 700 million mega joules energy. As these residues are high moisture and low energy density. Torrefaction followed by pelletizing is suitable technology to remove moisture content and increase energy density. |
