| The 23rd Edition of DDC has been published in 2011. The edition provides notations related to Indonesia such as Table 2. Geographical area, historical period, biography for Indonesia ? 598. With teh extension of Indonesian area, librarians are given much help in classifying the library materials on Indonesia or other subjects related, especially those related to areas or regions in Indonesia. However, this extension has only covered the provincial area nd has not yet reached the regency/city. It needs to create area extension which covers the whole regencies and cities as drafted by the National Library of Indonesia in its publication in 2004 which notes about the extension and adaptation of DDC notation for Indonesian areas. |
