Tingginya angka kecelakaan sepeda motor yang terjadi di kalangan pengendara remaja, khususnya pelajar SMA di Kota Bekasi menjadi suatu masalah yang cukup serius dan harus segera ditangani. Kecelakaan yang terjadi sering disebabkan oleh perilaku yang tidak aman dalam berkendara. Untuk mengubah perilaku tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan mengubah persepsi pelajar SMA terhadap risiko kecelakaan sepeda motor. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi risiko terhadap kecelakaan sepeda motor dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan persepsi risiko tersebut pada pelajar SMA. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa secara umum persepsi risiko terhadap kecelakaan sepeda motor pada pelajar SMA sudah baik. Persepsi baik tersebut dapat terbentuk karena pelajar SMA secara sukarela menerima risiko kecelakaan, memiliki pengetahuan yang baik terhadap risiko kecelakaan, menilai risiko kecelakaan sebagai risiko yang berdampak langsung, memiliki ketakutan terhadap risiko kecelakaan, menilai efek risiko parah, merasa mampu mengendalikan risiko kecelakaan, dan menilai kecelakaan sebagai risiko yang belum bisa ditolerir keberadaannya (baru). The high number of motorcycle accidents that occur among adolescents riders, especially high school students in the city of Bekasi, become a serious problem and must be addressed. The accidents which frequently occur due to unsafe behavior in driving motorcycle. These behaviors can be changed by changing the perception of senior high school student due to motorcycle accidents. Therefore, the descriptive research on quantitative research methods aims described the risk perception of a motorcycle accidents and the factors which influence the formation of the risk perception in high school students. The research result shows that the general perception of the risk due to a motorcycle accidents on high school students has been well. Well-perception could be formed because of the high voluntary from the high school students, well-knowledge from the risk of accidents, assessed the impact of the accidents which happened directly, has a high dread of the risk from the accidents, assessed that the effect of the severe accident is high, able to manage the risk of the accidents, and assessed the risk of the accidents can not be tolerated existently. |
