 Abstrak

[Berjalan kaki merupakan salah satu moda transportasi dasar yang mudah dan murah di dalam suatu kota yang memiliki pergerakan barang manusia dan barangnya tinggi. Trotoar adalah suatu jalur yang dikhususkan bagi pejalan kaki. Namun sayangnya trotoar tidak dianggap sebagai infrastruktur yang melekat pada sistem transportasi dan perancangan kota yang baik. Tidak dilengkapinya fasilitas, kurangnya perawatan, dan kurangnya pengontrolan terhadap pemanfaatan non pejalan kaki yang ada membuat kondisi trotoar bervariasi dari segi fisik dan sosial. Untuk itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola kualitas trotoar berdasarkan konektivitas dan kualitas pelayanan trotoardi wilayah edukasional Kelurahan Grogol dan mengetahui pandangan mahasiswa sebagai pejalan kaki terhadap pelayanan trotoar yang dilewati. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan langsung dengan bantuan kuisioner sesuai parameter GWI (Global Walkability Index). Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis kuantitatifchi-square. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan pola kualitas trotoar semakin baik pada kawasan perumahan sedangkan buruk pada kawasan komersil dan juga pintu masuk universitas. Secara persepi, trotoar yang dinilai berdasarkan variabel kenyaman, keamanan, dan kseselamatan hasilnya sejalan dengan pandangan pejalan kaki.

But, sidewalks are not perceived as important part of transport system and city planning. Not equipped by facility, lack of maintainance, and lack of controlling in non pedestrian utilization have impacted on variation of sidewalks physical and social condition. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify the pattern of sidewalks quality based on connectivity and quality of pedestrian path in Grogol Subdistrict educational area and to identify students perception toward sidewalks service. Data collection is conducted through direct observation by using questionnairers according to GWI (Global Walkability Indexparameter). Theanalysismethod that been used in this research are descriptive analysis and chi-square quantitative analysis. Results show that sidewalks quality pattern tend to be better in settlement area, whilst tend to be worse in commercial area and university?s gate. As for perception, sidewalks are perceived based on amenity, security, and safety along with pedestrian perception.
