Abstract
Permasalahan wuj?d secara ontologis menduduki posisi yang utama sebelum beranjak pada permasalahan epistemologi hingga aksiologi. Sebab, pemahaman mengenai wuj?d membentuk sebuah titik pandang alam (worldview), yang mendasari pemahaman dalam mengabstraksikan segala realitas yang ditemukan. Sebagai pendiri mazhab Isyr?qiyyah (mazhab Iluminasi), yang merupakan sintesa antara tradisi rasional-diskursif Peripatetik dengan tradisi gnostik-intuitif tasawuf, Suhraward? mendasarkan filsafatnya pada cahaya. Pembahasan mengenai wuj?d mengantar pada pembahasan mengenai wuj?d materi maupun wuj?d imateri, yang sebagian besar merupakan kritik terhadap Peripatetik. Suhraward? mampu menunjukkan keunggulan filsafatnya atas Peripatetik. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai cakupan (dimensi) wuj?d di dalam mazhab ?ikmat al-Isyr?q Suhraward?, pengertian mazhab ?ikmat al-Isyr?q, beserta sejarah kehidupan Suhraward?.

The problem of "being" ontologically takes the main place among epistemological or axiological problems. This is because the understanding of "being" results a "worldview" which underlies an understanding in terms of abstracting all of the realities found. As the founder of the sect of Illumination (which is a synthesis of the rational-discursive Peripatetic tradition and gnostic-intuitive Sufism tradition), Suhraward? serves the "lights" as the basis of his philosophy. Discussions of "being" leads to discussions of material and immaterial "being" which is mostly a treatise critique on the Peripatetic. In this case, Suhraward? is able to demonstrate his superiority over the Peripatetic philosophy. This paper discusses on the scope of "being" in Suhraward?'s thought in "?ikmat al-Isyr?q" comprehensions of "?ikmat al-Isyr?q" sect, and the history of Suhraward?'s life.
