| [Sunday Market merupakan sebuah fenomena sosial dan spasial yang berkaitan erat dengan pengembangan fungsi suatu ruang terbuka publik. Ruang publik yang umumnya dirancang sebagai wadah interaksi dan aktivitas sosial masyarakat menjadi ruang kesempatan ekonomi tersendiri bagi para pelaku dagang. Sunday Market sebagai sekumpulan pelaku usaha dagang mencoba menghadirkan ruang ekonomi temporer pada suatu eksisting lahan yang potensial untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup masyarakat pada suatu masa senggang (leisure). Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengurai faktor-faktor penyebab berubahnya fungsi ruang publik Sarana Olahraga yang dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan rekreasi masyarakat menjadi ruang ekonomi yang bersifat sementara (temporer) pada suatu waktu tertentu. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan observasi langsung ke lapangan dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran jelas mengenai respon setiap aktor terhadap keberadaan Sunday Market di ruang publik tersebut. Sunday Market merupakan implikasi dari kurangnya fasilitas umum dan fasilitas sosial yang ?ramah? bagi masyarakat di Kota Garut. Lokasi yang strategis, mudah dijangkau serta dilengkapi fasilitas olahraga dan rekreasi yang memadai, membuat Sarana Olahraga Kerkof menjadi wadah ?ideal? bagi keberlangsungan kegiatan ekonomi di Sunday Market.;Sunday Market is a social phenomenon and spatially closely associated with the development of the function of a public open space. The public spaces are generally designed as a forum for interaction and social activity into a separate space of economic opportunities for the traders. Sunday Market as a set of trading businesses trying to bring economic space on an existing temporary land with the potential to meet the needs of people living in a time of leisure (leisure). This research aims to unravel the factors that cause changes in the function of public space Sports Facilities designed to meet the recreational needs of the community into the economic space transient (temporary) at any given time. The method used was interviews and direct observation to the field in order to obtain a clear picture of the response of each actor to the Sunday Market presence in the public space. Sunday Market is the implication of the lack of public facilities and social amenities are 'friendly' to the community in Garut. Strategic location, easily accessible and equipped with sports and recreational facilities are adequate, making Sports Facilities Kerkof into container 'ideal' for the sustainability of economic activity in the Sunday Market., Sunday Market is a social phenomenon and spatially closely associated with the development of the function of a public open space.
