Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas novel Garis Batas: Perjalanan di Negeri-Negeri Asia Tengah karya Agustinus Wibowo sebagai novel populer bergenre perjalanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat ciri sastra populer dalam novel tersebut. Penelitian pertama-tama dilakukan terhadap unsur intrinsik novel tersebut. Setelah itu, penelitian dilanjutkan terhadap analisis ciri sastra populer dalam novel tersebut. Hasilnya, novel Garis Batas: Perjalanan di Negeri-Negeri Asia Tengah karya Agustinus Wibowo menggunakan sistem bintang pada saat ini, yaitu latar tempat. Penyampaian latar tempat dilakukan dengan cara deskripsi ekspositori. Novel ini memiliki seluruh ciri sastra populer.
......This thesis analyze Borderlines: A Journey Through Central Asia novel by Agustinus Wibowo as a popular novel in journey literary genre. The aim of this research is to observe popular novel characteristics at that novel. The first step of this research analyze intrinsic elements at that novel. Then, this research analyze popular novel characteristic at that novel. The result, Borderlines: A Journey Through Central Asia novel by Agustinus Wibowo shows the location settings as a current star system. The description of the settings are based on exposition description. This novel had all of popular novel characteristics.
