Abstract
Skripsi ini berfokus kepada peran pustakawan, serta kendala yang dihadapi oleh pustakawan dalam renovasi gedung perpustakaan Unika Atma Jaya Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus serta menggunakan wawancara dan observasi sebagai teknik penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pustakawan hanya berperan sebagai pemberi masukan dan tidak berperan aktif dalam tahap-tahap renovasi gedung perpustakaan Unika Atma Jaya Jakarta. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah kendala komunikasi diantara pihak yang bersangkutan.
This research focused on the librarian?s role as well as the constraints faced by librarians in renovation of library building at the Unika Atma Jaya library. This research is a qualitative research with a case study method and using interviews and observation as research techniques. The result of this research shows that the librarian would only serve as an adviser and do not play an active role in the stages of the renovation of the library building . The obstacles encountered was communication problems between concerned parties.
