[ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas metode math talk untukmeningkatkan kemampuan numerasi pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Desain penelitianadalah nonrandomized pretest – posttest control group design pada 15 orang anakPAUD AKI. Terdapat dua kelompok dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelompok kontroldan kelompok intervensi. Kelompok intervensi diberikan pengajaran sembilanaspek numerasi. Analisis data secara kuantitatif dengan membandingkankemampuan numerasi kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol serta analisiskualitatif setiap aspek dan subjek kelompok intervensi. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan numerasikelompok intervensi yang menggunakan metode math talk dibandingkan dengankelompok kontrol. Dengan demikian, metode ini diharapkan dapat membantuguru dalam pembelajaran numerasi di dalam kelas.
