[ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kecenderungan tenaga kerjabekerja sesuai keterampilannya dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesesuaianjenis pekerjaan dan keterampilan yng dimiliki. Unit analisisnya adalah angkatankerja yang berusia 18 tahun keatas yang bekerja. Metode analisis yang digunakanadalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial dengan menggunakan ModelRegresi Linier. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis kelamin, kelompokumur, daerah tempat tinggal, pendidikan, status kerja dan lapangan usahaberpengaruh terhadap kesesuaian jenis pekerjaan dan keterampilan tenaga kerja.
