[ABSTRAK
Tulisan ini berfokus pada pemaparan perbandingan antara upaya yang dilakukan BNN, khususnya pencegahan kejahatan narkoba dan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan di lingkungan pendidikan, dengan yang dilakukan oleh negara-negara lain. Upaya-upaya negara lain yang dicermati oleh penulis adalah yang telah dipublikasikan secara ilmiah pada jurnal Substance Abuse Treatment, Prevention, and Policy. Penulis memperbandingkan upaya-upaya negara-negara lain tersebut dengan upaya BNN, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan pencegahan dan bidang pemberdayaan masyarakat di lingkungan pendidikan, melalui kerangka teori Kontrol Sosial yang dikemukakan oleh Hirschi.
ABSTRACT
This paper focuses on the comparison between the efforts made by BNN, particularly in drug-related crime prevention and community empowerment undertaken in educational environments, and other countries. The author observes other countries‟ efforts which were published in the scientific journal Substance Abuse Treatment, Prevention, and Policy.
