[ABSTRAK Perusahaan software berskala kecil atau Very Small Enterprise (VSE) memilikikarekteristik yang berbeda dengan karakteristik perusahaan besar. Sebagaiperusahaan software kecil, maka kualitas software dan kelincahan dalammemenuhi kebutuhan dari klien adalah kunci pemenangan kompetisidibandingkan dengan perusahaan software besar. Untuk memperbaiki kualitassoftware yang dihasilkan perusahaan software kecil juga berupaya untukmelakukan Software Process Improvement. Namun upaya ini tidaklah mudah,karena perusahaan software kecil tidak memiliki sumber daya seperti perusahaansoftware besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan strategi yang tepat pemilihan SoftwareProcess Improvement untuk sebuah perusahaan software kecil. Berdasarkan padahasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi Software ProcessImprovement di perusahaan kecil dapat dilakukan dengan memilih fokus prosesarea tertentu, dibantu dengan alat bantu yang terintegrasi dan didasarkan padaimplementasi ISO/IEC 29110.
