Abstract
[ ABSTRAK
Sastra wayang merupakan salah satu bagian dalam khazanah sastra Indonesia. Dalam sastra Indonesia dikenal cerita wayang Ramayana dan Mahabharata. Berdasarkan kedua cerita tersebut, muncul berbagai karya yang bersumber pada Ramayana dan Mahabharata. Tulisan ini membahas novel Rahwana Putih yang dikarang oleh Sri Teddy Rusdy. Ide ceritanya diambil dari Ramayana. Dalam analisis ini, ditunjukkan penggambaran tokoh Rahwana dalam Rahwana Putih. Analisis dilakukan dengan teori tentang tokoh dan penokohan dalam karya sastra. Berdasarkan analisis terungkap bahwa tokoh Rahwana digambarkan sebagai tokoh yang baik. Cerita Rahwana Putih pun mengandung ajaran moral yang bermanfaat bagi pembaca.
ABSTRACT The literary of puppets is one of the treasures in Indonesia. Indonesian literature known as puppet stories like Ramayana and Mahabharata. Based on the both stories, there is a wide range of creation which is based on Ramayana and Mahabharata. This paper discuss about Rahwana Putih, then ovel was written by Sri Teddy Rusdy. The idea of this story was taken from the Ramayana. In this analysis, shown in these depiction characters of Rahvana in Rahwana Putih. The analysis was performed with a theory about the characters and characterizations in literature. Based on the analysis revealed that the character of Rahvana described as a good guy.
