[ABSTRAK Agregat anak usia sekolah pada masyarakat perkotaan berisiko terkena infeksisaluran pernapasan akut (ISPA) karena faktor biologis, lingkungan, dan gayahidup. Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenaiintervensi keperawatan inhalasi sederhana dalam mengatasi masalah keperawatanISPA pada anak usia sekolah di keluarga. Metode yang digunakan adalah denganmelakukan praktik asuhan keperawatan kepada keluarga dengan anak usia sekolahyang menderita ISPA. Intervensi inhalasi sederhana yang dilakukan pada pasienISPA terbukti efektif untuk mengencerkan dahak. Setelah dilakukan asuhankeperawatan selama 10 kali pertemuan, hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkanbahwa pengetahuan keluarga mengenai ISPA meningkat dan bersihan jalan napaspada anak efektif. Inhalasi sederhana direkomendasikan dapat diterapkan dalampenanganan ISPA. This paperaims to give an overview about the application of steam inhalation as a nursingintervention for treating ARI in school age children on the family. The methodthat used for this action is the practice of nursing care families with school-agechildren that have suffered from ARI. Steam inhalation interventions performedon ARI?s patients proven effective to thin the phlegm. After nursing care for 10meetings, the results obtained show that knowledge about ARI in the family wasincreased and airway clearance in children was effectively.
