As a national higher learning language, Malay language is still climbing up to the peak of highest hierarchy parallel with its status as an official language, national language and knowledge. however, on what extend malay language as a higher learning language able to uphold by the local academicians? they are liable to bring the Malay language globally within the context of scholarly publication. This case study was includes 13 clusters under the 2014 national professors council. Evaluations regarding scholarly publication had focus into 3 main categories, which are book publication (book, monographs, chapter in book), article in journal and article in proceeding. Clearly, the findings found that publication of all clusters dominated by the english language thus Malay language has not been in favor and priority among local academicians in their publication. This scenario shows that Malaysia higher education institues were not given contributed or taking actions to strengthen Malay language although they have known publication is a crucial part to boost our mother tongue internationally. |
