ABSTRACT This thesis is an ethnographic study on the cultural process involving the wong cilik as a result of the deployment of Telecenter in the village. The fieldwork is conducted in Telecenter Muneng in the Sub-District of Pilangkenceng, Madiun District, East Java. This research shows that the efforts to sustain the telecenter's operation and programs which cover the virtual and agricultural landscapes have shown the dynamics of domination-resistance in the context of power and engagement-enactment of projects. This thesis shows that the cultural process involves in the dynamics has created the space for the wong cilik to engage themselves in sustainable programs. |
