[Lebih dari satu juta orang di dunia terkena infeksi menular seksual (IMS) setiapharinya. Empat penyakit tersering adalah chlamidia, gonore, trichomoniasis, dansifilis. Di Asia Tenggara, insiden sifilis hingga tiga juta kasus. Dari angka tersebut,insiden pada wanita jauh lebih tinggi dari pada laki ? laki. Pekerja seks komersial(PSK) di Indonesia adalah salah satu yang popular di Asia Tenggara. Tingginyaangka PSK meningkatkan tingginya angka sifilis di Indonesia. Populasi PSK terdiridari berbagai macam usia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubunganantara faktor usia dengan prevalensi sifilis pada pekerja seks komersial (PSK) diTangerang, Banten. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross ? sectional denganmenggunakan data sekunder dari Departemen Parasitologi FKUI. Subjek penelitianadalah 152 PSK di Tangerang, Banten. Terdapat 64 (42,1%) PSK yang berusia 10? 19 tahun dan 88 (57,9%) PSK yang berusia 20 tahun lebih. Didapatkan bahwasebesar 79 (52%) PSK yang didiagnosis terkena sifilis. Dari 79 orang tersebut,terdapat 36 PSK berusia 10 ? 19 tahun dan 43 PSK berusia 20 tahun keatas.Berdasarkan analisis data, didapat p>0,05 sehingga terbukti bahwa faktor usia tidakmemiliki hubungan bermakna dengan penyakit sifilis pada PSK di Tangerang,Banten.
