[ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis distribusi pola polimorfisme gen LEPG-2548A pada pasien dengan dan tanpa osteoporosis. Seratus sampel terdiri daripasien dengan osteoporosis (50 sampel) dan pasien tanpa osteoporosis (50sampel). Polimorfisme gen LEP G-2548A dianalisis menggunakan metode PCRRFLP.Perhitungan distribusi genotip dan alel pada kedua kelompokmenggunakan uji Fisher. Frekuensi alel A dan genotip AA gen LEP G-2548Apada pasien osteoporosis berisiko meningkat dibandingkan pada pasien tanpaosteoporosis. Genotip LEP G-2548A pada pasien dengan dan tanpa osteoporosismemiliki hubungan tidak berbeda bermakna (p = 0,191).
