[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan antara self-esteem dan motivasi berprestasi pada mahasiswa perantau di Universitas Indonesia. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 71 orang mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan yang berusia antara 18-23 tahun. Self-esteem adalah sikap positif atau negatif seseorang terhadap dirinya sendiri. Motivasi berprestasi adalah kebutuhan untuk melakukansesuatu dengan baik atau meraih kesuksesan yang dibuktikan dengan kegigihan dan usaha dalam menghadapi kesulitan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengukuran self-esteem menggunakanalat ukur Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale sementara motivasi berprestasi diukur menggunakan Achievement Motives Scale-Revised (AMS-R). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self-esteem dan motivasiberprestasi pada mahasiswa perantau di Universitas Indonesia (r= .340, p < 0.01). Hasil tersebut membuktikan bahwa self-esteem dan motivasi berprestasi memiliki peran penting pada kesuksesan akademis seseorang dan juga aspek kehidupan yang lain terutama pada mahasiswa perantau di Universitas Indonesia. This study was conducted to find the relationship between self-esteem and achievement motivation among migrant students at Universitas Indonesia. Achievement motivation is the need to perform well or the striving for success, evidenced by persistence and effort in the face of difficulties. The study was a correlational study using a quantitative approach. Self-esteem was measured by -esteem Scale (RSES) and achievement motivation was measured by Achievement Motives Scale-Revised (AMS-R). The result showed a significant relationship between self-esteem and achievement motivation (r= .340, p < 0.01).
