Abstract
Li Hitam dan Li Putih (???: H?ibái L?) merupakan salah satu cerita pendek karya Lao She yang ditulis pada tahun 1933. Cerita pendek ini diceritakan melalui sudut pandang tokoh ?aku? yang tidak diketahui namanya. Sudut pandang dalam cerpen karya Lao She ini menjadi menarik untuk dibahas karena meskipun keseluruhan cerita ini menceritakan tentang Li Hitam dan Li Putih sebagai tokoh utamanya, akan tetapi tokoh "aku" lah yang memegang peranan penting dalam cerita. Makalah ini membahas sudut pandang tokoh "aku" dalam cerpen Li Hitam dan Li Putih. Selain itu makalah ini juga mengkaji peran dan fungsi tokoh "aku" dalam pengembangan cerita tersebut.
Black Li and White Li (???: H?ibái L?) is a short story written by Lao She, a Chinese author, in 1933. This story is narrated from a first-person point of view which is anonymous and always referred to as "I". Lao She's use of point of view in this story becomes significant to discuss because even though the plot mainly revolves around the two main characters, Black Li and White Li, the first-person narrator is actually the most crucial character since everything is narrated from his perspective. This paper examines the point of view of the "I" character in "Black Li and White Li". This paper also discusses the significance of the first-person narrator in the development of the story.
