Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh siklus hidup perusahaan terhadap biaya ekuitas. Penelitian ini juga menguji peran faktor moderasi tata kelola perusahaan pada pengaruh siklus hidup perusahaan terhadap biaya ekuitas. Dengan menggunakan 217 sampel dari tahun 2010 ? 2013, ditemukan bukti bahwa biaya ekuitas tahap growth, mature, dan decline lebih rendah secara signifikan dibandingkan tahap shake out. Efektivitas fungsi pengawasan dewan komisaris hanya terbukti memperkuat pengaruh negatif siklus hidup perusahaan terhadap biaya ekuitas pada tahap growth dan mature. Adapun efektivitas fungsi pengawasan komite audit mampu memperkuat pengaruh negatif siklus hidup perusahaan terhadap biaya ekuitas pada seluruh siklus hidup perusahaan.

This study is aimed to investigate the impact of corporate life cycle on cost of equity. This study is also aimed to examine the role of corporate governance as moderating variable on the impact of corporate life cycle on cost of equity. Using 217 observations of listed firms in IDX from 2010 - 2013, it is found that cost of equity in growth, mature, and decline stage is significantly lower than shake out stage. The effectiveness of monitoring role by board of comissioner is proven significantly strengthen the negative impact of corporate life cycle on cost of equity in growth and mature stages. In addition, The effectiveness of monitoring role by audit commitee is proven significantly strengthen the negative impact of corporate life cycle on cost of equity in all stages.
