Menarche merupakan proses terjadinya menstruasi yang pertama kali dialami oleh remaja. Remaja yang tidak memiliki kesiapan menghadapi menarche lebih rentan terhadap tekanan psikologis seperti depresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kesiapan remaja dalam menghadapi menarche. Desain penelitian adalah cross-sectional terhadap 113 sampel di SMP Negeri, yang diambil dengan metode quota sampling. Data penelitian diuji menggunakan uji Independent sample t-test dan Chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prevalensi kesiapan remaja dalam menghadapi menarche adalah 58,4%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kesiapan remaja dalam menghadapi menarche dengan nilai OR 95% CI = 2,236. Namun, tidak ada hubungan antara usia menarche, sumber informasi, dan dukungan keluarga dengan kesiapan remaja dalam menghadapi menarche. Hasil ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pelayanan kesehatan terutama perawat untuk memberikan edukasi serta promosi kesehatan bagi remaja mengenai menarche baik melalui institusi pendidikan maupun melalui orang tua. Menarche is a process of menstruation that happened for the first time in adolescents. Adolescents who do not have the readiness to face the menarche are more vulnerable to psychological distress such as depression. This study aimed to determine the factors related to adolescents readiness to face menarche. Its design was cross-sectional with 113 samples at Junior High School, using quota sampling method. The research data was tested by using Independent sampe t-test and Chi-square test. The result showed that the prevalence of readiness to face menarche in adolescent was 58,4%. The result showed that there is a relationship between knowledge and adolescents readiness to face menarche with OR 95% CI = 2.236. However, there is no relationship between the age of menarche, resources, and family support with adolescents readiness to face menarche. These results can be the basis for health care especially nurses to provide education and health promotion for adolescents about menarche either through educational institutions and/or through the parents. |
