Abstract
ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai peran perpustakaan Chandra Widodo yang merupakan perpustakaan khusus milik PT Industri, dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi karyawan. PT Industri bergerak dibidang Engineering, Procurement, dan Construction (EPC). Perpustakaan Chandra Widodo memiliki koleksi arsip inaktif (dokumen proyek) sebagai repositori institusi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah peran perpustakaan Chandra Widodo tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan informasi yang berguna bagi karyawan dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan tetapi juga untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi akan hiburan dan aktualisasi diri.
ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses the role of Chandra Widodo library, a special library of PT Industri to fullfill the information needs of PT Industri?s employees. PT Industri?s is an institution that works in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). Chandra Widodo library has inactive archive (project document) as institutional repository. This research is a qualitative research using an ethnographic approach. The result is the role of Chandra Widodo library not only supplies information needs for employees to completing their work, but also to meet the information needs for entertainment and self-actualization.;
