ABSTRAK Tujuan Membandingkan prediktabilitas refraksi pasca operasi katarak pada pasien yang telah dilakukan pemeriksaan kekuatan LIO menggunakan biometri optikal dengan dan tanpa sikloplegik.DesainPenelitian ini merupakan uji kuasi eksperimental 2 kelompok yang tidak berpasangan.MetodeSebanyak 34 mata dari 25 subjek penelitian dengan katarak senilis imatur yang memiliki axial length (AXL) 22-24.5 mm dilakukan pemeriksaan optikal tanpa dan dengan sikloplegik pada mata yang sama sebelum dilakukan operasi fakoemulsifikasi dengan implantasi lensa intraokular (LIO). Data pemeriksaan biometri optikal tanpa dan dengan sikloplegik merupakan dua kelompok tidak berpasangan. Lensa intraokular yang diimplantasikan kepada subjek penelitian ditentukan berdasarkan target refraksi minus terkecil pada mata tanpa pengaruh sikloplegik. Perhitungan power LIO dilakukan dengan menggunakan formula Haigis. LIO yang digunakan adalah 1 jenis berbahan akrilik foldable. Prediktabilitas refraksi dihitung berdasarkan selisih antara spherical equivalent (SE) pasca operasi 3 minggu dengan target refraksi pada masing-masing kelompok dalam nilai absolut.HasilRerata prediktabilitas refraksi pada kelompok tanpa sikloplegik 0,37 ± 0,22, sedangkan median kelompok dengan sikloplgeik 0,4 (0,04-1,21). Proporsi prediktabilitas refraksi pada kelompok dengan sikloplegik < 0,5 D adalah 70,6%, sedangkan kelompok dengan sikloplegik adalah 73,5%.KesimpulanPrediktabilitas refraksi dan proporsi prediktabilitas refraksi dengan menggunakan rumus Haigis pada mata dengan AXL normal tidak berbeda signifikan secara statistik antara masing-masing kelompok penelitian ABSTRACT Aim Comparing the refractive predictability after cataract surgery in patients who undergo intraocular lens (IOL) calculation with and without effect of cycloplegia using optical biometry.DesignThis study is a quasi-experimental test of two unpaired groups.MethodA total of 34 eyes from 25 subjects with immature senile cataract which has axial length 22-24.5 mm underwent intraocular lens (IOL) calculation with and without effect of cycloplegia using optical biometry before phacoemulsification and IOL implantation. The result data were separated into ?without cycloplegia? (first) group and ?with cycloplegia? (second) group. Implanted intraocular lenses were determined by the lowest myopic spheroequivalent residual refraction from the eye without effect of cycloplegia. Intraocular lens calculation were performed by using the Haigis formula. Intraocular lens used were made of acrylic foldable. Refractive predictability is calculated based on the difference between the refraction spherical equivalent (SE) 3 weeks postoperatively and target refraction for each group in absolute value.ResultThe refractive predictability mean in the first group is 0.37 ± 0.22, while the second group median is 0.4 (0.04 to 1.21). Proportion of refractive predictability in the first group <0.5 D is 70.6%, while the second group is 73.5%.ConclusionRefractive predictability and proportion of refractive predictability using the Haigis formula in eyes with normal AXL did not differ statistically significant between the respective research groups. |
