ABSTRAK
Setiap pengguna menginginkan aplikasi web yang berkualitas. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan pimpinan perusahaan dan tim pengembang perangkat lunak, pada PT XYZ belum memiliki acuan baku evaluasi kualitas dari aplikasi web yang dimiliki. Oleh karena itu, PT XYZ juga belum dapat menilai tingkat capaian kualitas sebuah aplikasi web. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut terjadi gap antara ekspektasi pimpinan untuk memenuhi keinginan pengguna yang menginginkan produk aplikasi web berkualitas dengan belum adanya acuan baku dan kegiatan evaluasi aplikasi web pada PT XYZ. Evaluasi kualitas aplikasi web dilakukan untuk menilai tingkat capaian kualitas sebuah aplikasi web.Evaluasi ini berfokus pada empat karakteristik yaitu usability, functionality, reliability, dan efficiency. Metode evaluasi kualitas aplikasi web ini menggunakan Web Quality Evaluation Method (WebQEM) karena bersifat obyektif. Hasil akhir dari analisis ini adalah rekomendasi strategi evaluasi kualitas produk perangkat lunak yang berguna untuk melakukan evaluasi kualitas dari aplikasi web serta dapat menjamin kualitas aplikasi web pada PT XYZ. Rekomendasi strategi yang berfokus pada empat karakteristik tersebut sudah dijalankan. Evaluasi pertama dilakukan pada empat karakteristik dan diberikan rekomendasi untuk dilakukan perbaikan pada semua karakteristik untuk meningkatkan kualitas aplikasi web. Iterasi evaluasi dilakukan kembali pada empat karakteristik tersebut. Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan iterasi evaluasi yang dilakukan bahwa aplikasi web tersebut memperoleh peningkatan kualitas pada tiga karakteristik yaitu usability, functionality, dan efficiency.
ABSTRACT
Every user expects the qualified web application. Based on the observation results and interview with the company leader and software developer team of PT XYZ, the firm does not have the standardized reference of evaluation of the web application used. Therefore, the firm can not assess the quality of the web application. This condition leads to the discrepancy between the expectations of the board of directors to meet the expectations of users to get the qualified web applications due to unavailability of standardized reference to evaluate the web. The evaluation is considered essentials to assess the level of quality of the web application.The evaluation is mainly focused on four characteristics. They are usability, functionality, reliability and efficiency. The evaluation method of web application uses the Web Quality Evaluation Method (WebQEM) for the objectivity nature of the method. The final results of the analysis are in the form of strategic recommendations of software quality evaluation which are useful to evaluate the quality of the web application, and also to assure the quality of the web application of PT XYZ. The strategic recommendations of these four characteristics have been implemented. The first evaluation had been done to these four characteristics and resulted on recommendations to make adjustment and improvements in all characteristics to enhance the quality of web application. The frequent evaluation was conducted as well. It found that the web application has developed the quality in three characteristics, they are usability, functionality and efficiency. |
