Abstract
Flooding or inundation is frequently happenned in Jakarta on the rainy season and during the high tides. This event has lead to the idea of constructing a Giant Seawall (GSW). The pros and cons of this emerging discourse are discussed in this article from the perspective of interests and also based on scientific reasons.
