Abstract
The Existence of Adat Lands is still recognized by the Indonesian Law, even though it is contrary to the system adopted by UUPA. Most agricultural lands in the villages do not have written proof yet. It creates problems. How is the existence of the adat land at Muaratais village. And have the conveyance of Adat land and its registration been done according to the law. This research is aim at knowing the existence of Adat land. Its conveyance and regrstration at Muratais village.The contribution is reconmended to government to solve problem on adat lands and its registration. Data used are primary and secondary. Primary data were obtained from interview with peasants, and secondary were from Head of The Village, chief of tribe, Camat,  and staff  of National Board for Land Affair. The result of his research shows that the existence of adat land is still recognized and its registration has not been implemented according to the law. It is necessary to register land in order to avoid harm to the peasants
