Fasciolopsis buski merupakan salah satu parasit trematoda terbesar yang dapat menginfeksi manusia. InfestasiFasciolopsis buski ke dalam tubuh manusia terjadi karena minum air mentah dan mengkonsumsi tumbuhan air yangmentah seperti supan-supan, pakat, teratai, dan genjer. Endemisitas Fasciolopsiasis di Indonesia hanya ditemukan dikecamatan Babirik Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan dengan prevalensi antara 1,2-7,8%.Sampai saat ini, angka prevalensi kejadian Fasciolopsiasis tidak menunjukkan kecenderungan turun,sebaliknya justrumenunjukkan adanya penyebaran penyakit ke wilayah lainnya. Diduga Fasciolopsis buski ini menyebar melalui sanitasilingkungan dan higine perorangan yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara sanitasi dasarrumah dan kejadian Fasciolopsis pada anak sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara, selama Januari hingga Julitahun 2010. Jenis penelitian adalah observasional analitik, dilaksanakan secara crossectional terhadap anak sekolah dasarberumur 7-13 tahun sebanyak 110 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemeriksaan laboratorium, wawancara,dan observasi. Data dianalisis dengan regresi logistik ganda. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian Fasciolopsiasispada anak sekolah dasar adalah sanitasi dasar rumah, minum air mentah, makan tumbuhan rawa mentah, bermain dirawa, pengetahuan. Disimpulkan bahwa dari 5 variabel yang diteliti, sanitasi dasar rumah tidak berhubungan dengankejadian Fasciolopsiasis.The Affecting Factors of Fasciolopsiasis in the Elementary Student in Endemic Area. It was concluded that the five variables studied house basic sanitation is not related to theincident.
