Abstract
ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai sistem produksi pada PT EagleBurgmann Indonesia melalui pendekatan simulasi discrete-event. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja sistem produksi mechanical seals yang diterapkan saat ini pada PT EagleBurgman Indonesia serta memberikan rekomendasi skenario perbaikan dari sistem produksi yang saat ini telah diterapkan. Parameter penilaian kinerja yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini berupa total waktu produksi serta total biaya produksi. Dikembangkan tiga alternatif skenario yakni penambahan mesin lathe, kebijakan persediaan komponen impor, dan kombinasi antara penambahan mesin serta persediaan. Alternatif skenario yang mampu meningkatkan kinerja pada tingkat paling optimal adalah skenario ketiga dengan menghemat total waktu produksi hingga sebesar 69,18% serta menghemat total biaya produksi sebesar 65,13%.
ABSTRACT
This study discusses the production systems of PT EagleBurgmann Indonesia through discrete-event simulation. This study aims to analyzing the performance of production systems for mechanical seals and offer recommendations on alternative scenario which can improve of the existing production system. Three alternative scenarios which are developed, namely adding lathe machine, implement the inventory policy of imported components and combine the inventory policy and also lathe machine addition. The most optimal alternative scenario is the third scenario which are able to reduce the total time up to 69,18% as well as reduce the total cost of production amounted to 65,13%.
