ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas campur kode bahasa Indonesia - bahasa Inggris di acara tayang bincang Just Alvin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan jenis-jenis campur kode dan menjelaskan faktor-faktor penyebab campur kode pada percakapan di acara tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan data berupa transkripsi rekaman percakapan dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tiga jenis campur kode pada percakapan di acara ini yang meliputi penyisipan, alternasi, dan leksikalisasi kongruen. Selain itu ditemukan delapan faktor penyebab campur kode yaitu terkait dengan topik percakapan, sebagai status, keinginan untuk mengutip ujaran, kekurangan kosakata, pengalihan metaforis, fungsi afektif, penekanan pesan, dan pengulangan untuk mengklarifikasi ujaran. Penutur melakukan campur kode dengan menyisipkan dan mengalternasikan tuturannya berdasarkan konteks percakapan. Dengan demikian, faktor-faktor penyebab campur kode berkaitan dengan jenis campur kode dan konteks percakapan.
ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses the code mixing Indonesian English on the Just Alvin talkshow. The purpose of this study is to discover types of code mixing and explain the factors of code mixing in the conversation. This study is a qualitative research which data are the transcriptions of recorded conversation and interview. The results showed that there are three types of code mixing, namely insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization. Besides, there are eight factors of code mixing in the conversation. Based on the analysis, the factors of code mixing in this conversation are related to the topic of conversation, as a form of status, quoting speech, metaphorical switching, lack of vocabulary, affective functions, emphasize their messages, and repetition to clarify speech. In addition, the speakers mix the codes by inserting and alternating their speech based on conversation context. Therefore, the factors of code mixing are related to the types of code mixing and context of conversation. |
