ABSTRAK
Jurnal ini membahas mengenai representasi Agenda Setting dalam media cetidakKompas dan situs berita online Kompas.com. Setiap media massa memiliki agenda media yang pada akhirnya akan mempengaruhi publik. Publik cenderung menganggap suatu isu penting sebagaimana media merepresentasikannya. Dari analisis terhadap harian Kompas dan Kompas.com, penulis berharap media massa di Indonesia dapat menjadi alat kontrol sosial yang kuat, yang memberikan informasi serta mengedukasi masyarakat Indonesia.Kata kunci: representasi; agenda setting; media massa; publik
ABSTRACT
This article explains how the representation of Agenda Setting in Kompas newspaper and Kompas.com online newspaper. Every single mass media has their own media agenda that will affect the public eventually. People tend to trust important issues just like how the media represent them. With the analysis of Kompas and Kompas.com, writer hopes that mass media in Indonesia could be a strong tools of social control, and educate people with the right informations they give.Keywords representation agenda setting mass media public
