ABSTRAK Skripsi ini membahas mengenai kelanjutan perlawanan penduduk Banten terhadap pemerintah kolonial Belanda setelah pemberontakan komunis 1926. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode sejarah yang terdiri dari heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Pemberontakan Komunis 1926 telah membuat pemerintah kolonial Belanda melakukan pengetatan keamanan di Banten. Selama periode penelitian ini tidak terjadi pemberontakan atau kerusuhan seperti yang terjadi selama abad ke-18 dan 19. Perlawanan penduduk Banten terhadap pemerintah kolonial yang pada masa sebelumnya disimbolkan dengan kerusuhan dan pemberontakan, berganti dengan aksi-aksi jawara yang meresahkan keamanan dan ketertiban bagi pemerintah Belanda. Penyebaran sentimen negatif dari kyai kepada santri dan penduduk Banten menyebabkan hambatan interaksi antara pemerintah kolonial dan penduduk Banten. Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk perlawanan penduduk Banten yang sebelumnya dilakukan dengan kerusuhan dan pemberontakan, selama masa ini tergantikan oleh penyebaran sentimen ideologis kyai dan aksi-aksi jawara yang didukung oleh penduduk Banten. ABSTRACT This thesis discusses about the continuation of the resistance of the Banten people to Dutch colonial government after the communist uprising 1926. The methodology used in this study is the historical method, consists of heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Communist uprising in 1926 has made the Dutch colonial government to tighten security in Banten. During the period of this study there is no uprising or riot as happened during the 18th and 19th century. The resistance of the Banten people against colonial government which in the past symbolized by unrest and uprising, changed to the spread of negative sentiment by kyai to their santris and Banten people and cause barriers interaction between the colonial government and Banten people. And also by the actions of jawara by disturbing Dutch governments security and order. From this research, it can be concluded that the shape of Banten resistance previously done by riots and rebellion, during this time is replaced by the deployment of ideological sentiment by kyai and jawara actions supported by Banten people. |
