Pandangan dan pemahaman setiap orang mengenai risiko yang berbeda-beda menjadi perhatian para ahli untuk melihat penyebab dari perbedaan itu, yang kemudian berkembang menjadi suatu teori persepsi risiko. Paradigma psikometrik, salah satu teori populer yang membahas faktor-faktor psikologis individu yang dapat mempengaruhi persepsi digambarkan dalam 9 dimensi yaitu 1 voluntariness of risk, 2 immediacy of effect, 3 known to exposed of risk, 4 known to science of risk, 5 control over the risk, 6 newness, 7 chronic/catastrophic 8 common/dread, 9 severity of consequences. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai 9 dimensi tersebut yang digunakan pada pekerja konstruksi untuk melihat gambaran persepsi risiko bekerja pada ketinggian. Dari kesembilan variabel tersebut yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan persepsi mengenai risiko bekerja pada ketinggian, ada 3 variabel yang menggambarkan ldquo;persepsi risiko rendah rdquo; pada pekerja konstruksi mengenai bekerja pada ketinggian, yaitu pada variabel kesukarelaan voluntariness of risk , variabel pengendalian atas risiko control over risk dan variabel kebaruan risiko newness .Kata kunci:Persepsi risiko, paradigma psikometrik, konstruksi, bekerja pada ketinggian.

Psychometric paradigm, one popular theory that discusses the psychological factors of individuals who can influence the perception portrayed in 9 dimensions, namely 1 voluntariness of risk, 2 immediacy of effect, 3 known to the exposed of risk, 4 known to the science of risk, 5 control over the risk, 6 newness, 7 chronic catastrophic 8 common dread, 9 the severity of consequences. This study discusses the 9 dimensions were used in the construction workers to see the description of risk perception on working at height.
