Abstract
Elderly may experience decreased cognitive function due to aging process. Decreased cognitive function makes elderly less sensitive to the environment that can cause the incident of fall. This study aims to determine the relationship of cognitive function with the risk for fall in the elderly. The design of this study is cross sectional with sampling technique is proportional random sampling. The results showed that cognitive function was significantly correlated with risk for fall with p 0,000. Nursing home parties should increase interventions to improve elderly cognitive functioning as an effort to reduce the risk of fall.
