ABSTRAK Operasi Militer Seroja yang dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah Timor Timur pada masa pemerintahan Soeharto menghasilkan permasalahan baru yang menimpa keluarga dan mantan prajurit Seroja, banyaknya prajurit yang gugur dan cacat misalnya. Permasalahan tersebut menyebabkan pemerintah Soeharto harus melakukan tindakan lanjutan untuk mengapresiasi perjuangan prajurit yang telah berjuang dalam Operasi Seroja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebijakan dan aplikasi kebijakan pemerintah Soeharto tersebut dalam menangani nasib keluarga dan mantan prajurit Operasi Seroja yang mengalami kerugian baik fisik maupun psikis pascaoperasi militer. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga ingin mengetahui reaksi keluarga dan mantan prajurit Operasi Seroja di Bekasi terhadap program bantuan pemerintah Soeharto. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode sejarah dengan sumber utama wawancara, yaitu keluarga dan mantan prajurit Operasi Seroja di Bekasi. Skripsi ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap kajian Sejarah Indonesia era Orde Baru di bidang militer. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah berperan besar terhadap nasib kelangsungan hidup keluarga dan mantan prajurit Operasi Seroja di Bekasi. ABSTRACT The Military Operation of Seroja that was carried out to solve the East Timor problem during the Soeharto rsquo s administration led to new problems affecting the Serojas Operation former soldiers and their families. For example, many of soldiers died and got handicapped. The problem caused the Soehartos administration to take further action to appreciate the struggle of soldiers who have fought in Seroja Operation. The purpose of this thesis is to know the efforts of Soehartos administration in dealing with the fate of the Serojas Operation former soldiers and their families who suffered both physical and psychological problem after military operation. Secondly, it is to find out the reactions of the Serojas Operation former soldiers and their families especially in Bekasi on Soehartos administration assistance program. This thesis uses historical method by conducting interviews as the main source. The respondens are Serojas Operation former soldiers and their families in Bekasi. This thesis aimed to complete the study of Indonesian military history in the Soehartos era. This thesis shows that Soehartos administration has a big role for the fate of Serojas Operation former soldiers and their families in Bekasi. |
