 Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas air dan sanitasi terhadap kejadian stunting pada balita di Indonesia, serta pengaruh stunting terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan tahun sekolah yang ditamatkan di masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data longitudinal berskala besar yakni Indonesia Family Live Survey IFLS tahun 2000, 2007 dan 2014. Hasil analisis logit menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif antara kualitas air dan sanitasi terhadap kejadian stunting. Dampak sanitasi menjadi berkurang dan tidak signifikan setelah adanya kontrol dari variabel orang tua dan kondisi sosial ekonomi. Sedangkan hasil analisis OLS menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan antara stunting saat balita terhadap kemampuan kognitif dan jumlah tahun sekolah yang ditamatkan.
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the effect of water quality and sanitation on stunting in infants in Indonesia, and its effect of stunting on cognitive ability and school year that is rescued in the future. Using large scale out going longitudinal data, namely Indonesia Family Live Survey IFLS 2000, 2007 and 2014. Logistic regression show that enviromental and intergenerational characteristic significant to reduce stunting in Indonesian childrens. However, the effect of sanitation becomes unsignificant when parental Characteristic and expenditure for household food increase. But the damage of clean water on stunting still continue effected. While the results of the OLS analysis showed a negatif and significant relationship between the stunting of the child under five to the cognitive abnormalities and the number of school years that were rescued.
