ABSTRAK Tulisan ini membahas mengenai gambar karya Margreet de Heer berjudul Kerkraam van Broederschap. Gambar ini menggambarkan kerukunan umat beragama yang seharusnya. Meskipun de Heer berupaya untuk bersikap netral, namun judul gambar, Kerkraam van Broederschap, mengingatkan kedekatan seniman dengan persepsi kehidupan Kristen. Dalam gambar ini umat beragama diwakili terutama oleh umat Islam dan Kristen. Margreet de Heer mengambil media poster dan teknik cetak digital. Media tersebut dipilih mungkin karena dianggap lebih efektif dan efisien sebab mudah digandakan, ringan dan lebih fleksibel, lentur, dan yang terutama lebih murah. Dipilihnya teknik cetak digital dengan bahan vinyl memudahkan gambar ini untuk digandakan, dipindahtempatkan, dan lebih murah dibanding dengan lukisan atau jendela kaca patri. Ketiga hal itu sangat efektif dan efisien untuk propaganda yang ingin disampaikan oleh gambar ini.Analisis menggunakan teori semiotik dan konsep warna. Dari analisis terlihat meskipun gambar itu menggambarkan kehidupan umat beragama, namun garis ditengah gambar seolah memisahkan dua kelompok umat beragama. De Heer berhasil memilih unsur dan memperlihatkannya sebagai segi-segi kehidupan umat beragama dengan cermat. ABSTRACT This journal is specifically a research about a picture made by Margreet de Heer, called ldquo Kerkraam van Broederschap rdquo . This picture represent the religious harmony. Margreet de Heer try to be neutral, but seeing the title of the picture, ldquo Kerkraam van Broederschap rdquo , remind the artist rsquo s closeness to the perception of the Christian life. In this picture, religious people represented by Moslem and Christian. Margreet de Heer takes poster and digital printing technique as the media. It was selected probably because it rsquo s more effective, efficient, easy to duplicate, lightweight, more flexible, and especially cheaper. The choice of digital printing technique with vinyl makes the picture easy to duplicate and distribute, it is also cheaper than a painting or a stained glass window. These three things are very effective and efficient for the propaganda that conveyed by this picture. The Journal research are use a semiotic theory and the concept of colors. The picture describe the life of religious people, but the vertical line in the middle of picture seems to separate the two different religious groups. De Heer succeeded in selecting the elements and exposing them as the aspects of religious life. |
