Abstrak
ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian model pemberdayaan lansia ini menganalisis bentuk dukungan sosial dari keluarga, teman, tetangga, masyarakat, pihak swasta, yayasan, dan pemerintah didalam upaya pemberdayaan lansia. Selanjutnya menganalisis model pemberdayaan yang bersifat self-help dengan dukungan sosial dilakukan oleh komunitas lansia dahlia senja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Dengan metode kualitatif penulis melakukan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dokumentasi, merekam, dan mencatat informasi.
Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa model pemberdayaan pada komunitas lansia dahlia senja dengan pendekatan bottom-up, karena pemberdayaannya bersifat self-help bersinergi dengan dukungan sosial. Dengan kekuatan self-help yang dimiliki komunitas lansia dahlia senja, lansia memperoleh dukungan sosial diantaranya datang dari keluarga, teman, tetangga, donatur, pihak swasta, yayasan, dan unsur pemerintah. Dukungan tersebut berupa dukungan emosional, informasi, dukungan instrument (barang dan jasa), dan penilaian/appraisal. Model pemberdayaan lansia melalui kegiatan produktif pada komunitas lansia dahlia senja adalah kombinasi dari pemberdayaan Self-help dan Social Support dengan individual-kelompok. Di setiap kegiatannya individu lansia terinspirasi dari peran ketua komunitasnya. Produk-produk yang dihasilkan lansia didalam pendampingan pemberdayaan didalam kegiatan produktif komunitas ini dapat memotivasi lansia lain.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this elderly empowerment model study is to analyze the form of social support from family, friends, neighbors, community, private parties, foundations, and government in empowering elderly. Next analyze the self-help empowerment model with social support done by elderly community dahlia senja. The method used in this research is qualitative. With qualitative methods the authors conducted in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, record, and record information.
The results of this study show that the empowerment model in elderly community dahlia senja with bottom-up approach, because the empowerment is self-help synergize with social support. With the power of self-help that belongs to the elderly community of dahlia senja, the elderly obtain social support among others coming from family, friends, neighbors, donors, private parties, foundations, and government elements. Support is in the form of emotional support, information, support instruments (goods and services), and assessment / appraisal. The elderly empowerment model through productive activities in the elderly community of dahlia senja is a combination of self-help empowerment and Social Support with individual-groups. In every activity the elderly are inspired by the role of community leader. The products produced by the elderly in the assistance of empowerment in the productive activities of this community can motivate other elderly.
