Abstract
ABSTRAK
Angka kejahatan di lingkungan pemukiman terbilang cukup tinggi dibandingkan dengan tempat lainnya. Jenis kejahatan yang terjadi pun cukup beragam. Tipe pemukiman yang beragam juga memungkinkan adanya perbedaan dalam tipe kejahatan yang ada antara satu dengan lainnya. Dalam artikel ini penulis berusaha menjabarkan tipe kejahatan apa saja yang ada di salah satu jenis pemukiman yaitu apartemen. Selain itu penulis juga berusaha membedakan antara tipe kejahatan di apartemen dengan di perumahan konvensional. Penulis menggunakan Rational Choice Theory dan Routine Activity Theory untuk menjelaskan adanya perbedaan ini. Perbedaan karakteristik antara apartemen dan perumahan konvensional seperti sistem keamanan, fasilitas, hingga interaksi penghuni menyebabkan adanya perbedaan baik dalam tipe kejahatan maupun modus operandinya.
ABSTRACT
The number of crimes in the settlement is quite high compared other places. The types of crimes are also quite diverse. Different types of settlements also allow for differences in types of crime that exist between one another. In this article the author tries to describe the type of crime in one type of settlement which is an apartment. In addition the authors are also trying to distinguish the types of crime in an apartment and in a conventional housing. The author uses Rational Choice Theory and Routine Activity Theory to explain this difference. Characteristic differences between apartments and conventional housing such as security systems, facilities, to interactions between occupant causing the differences in both the type of crime and the modus operandi.
