Abstract
ABSTRACT
This paper focused on the political thought of Recep Tayyeb Erdogan and secular political revolution. This research is a qualitative research which focused on the dynamics of secular vs Islamic political thought in Turkey. This research showed that Erdogan with the AK Party had managed to stay in power, for more than one decade, despite the secular system that adopted by Turkey. This paper showed that Erdogan had managed to overcome the secular system that was established by Attaturk, and how he managed to overcome the military which known as the guardian of the secular system in Turkey. Even though, the dynamics between the Islamic political thought vesus the secular system in Turkey is still ongoing process.
