ABSTRAK
Kejadian luar biasa KLB difteri pada tahun 2017 mengindikasikan bahwa cakupan imunsiasi difteri di Indonesia masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik imunisasi difteri pada mahasiswa kesehatan Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sebanyak 427 mahasiswa dari Fakultas Kedokteran, Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi, Fakultas Farmasi, Fakultas Keperawatan, dan Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 57,6 mahasiswa memiliki pengetahuan baik tentang penyakit dan imunisasi difteri, 63,5 sikap terhadap imunisasi difteri positif, namun hanya 30,9 mahasiswa sudah imunisasi difteri lanjutan saat dewasa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan pada program promosi kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap positif, dan praktik imunisasi pada mahasiswa kesehatan.
ABSTRACT
The diphtheria outbreak in 2017 is indicated that vaccine coverage in Indonesia remains low. The aim of this study was to describe knowledge, attitudes, and practice of diphtheria immunization in the healthcare student of Universitas Indonesia. This is a cross sectional descriptive study. A total of 427 students from Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Public Health participated in this study. The result of this study showed that majority of respondents had a good knowledge about diphtheria and diphtheria vaccination 57,6 , held positive attitude towards diphtheria vaccination 63,5 , but reported low coverage of adult booster diphtheria vaccination 30,9 . The result of this research can be used for health promotion program to improve knowledge, positive attitudes, and immunization coverage of healthcare students. |
