ABSTRAK
Penelitian pemanfaatan tepung bintang laut mahkota berduri Acanthaster planci sebagai pakan buatan untuk penambah berat dan pewarnaan ikan mas koki Carassius auratus bertujuan untuk menghasilkan pakan ikan yang berstandar SNI dan mengetahui perubahan warna serta penambahan berat dan kesintasan ikan mas koki. Penelitian dimulai dengan merubah sampel A. planci menjadi tepung kemudian diformulasikan, dilakukan pembuatan pakan buatan dan dianalisis proksimat. Terdapat 3 perlakuan yaitu pakan buatan yang mengandung tepung A. planci, kontrol positif yang menggunakan pelet komersial dan kontrol negatif yang menggunakan ampas tahu. Hasil analisis proksimat pakan perlakuan menunjukkan protein, kadar air dan lemak telah sesuai SNI. Berdasarkan hasil skoring warna pada minggu ke-4 pakan perlakuan mencapai skor tertinggi 6 sebanyak 19 , pakan kontrol positif mencapai skor 7 sebanyak 7,94 dan pakan kontrol negatif mencapai skor 6 sebanyak 14 . Berdasarkan perhitungan uji statistik chi-square menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pemberian pakan buatan terhadap perubahan warna Carassius auratus. Hal tersebut karena adanya kandungan astasantin pada pakan buatan. Hasil laju sintasan tertinggi yaitu pakan perlakuan 88,75 kemudian pakan kontrol positif dan kontrol negatif sebesar 78,5 . Hasil penambahan berat yang didapat yaitu pakan perlakuan 2,27 g, pakan kontrol positif 9,25 g dan pakan kontrol negatif 2,25 g. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pakan buatan A. planci dapat digunakan sebagai pakan yang berpengaruh terhadap perubahan warna, berat dan sintasan ikan mas koki.
ABSTRACT
The purpose of the research about the utilization of the flour from Crown Thorns Starfish Acanthaster planci as an artificial feed for weight and pigmentation of goldfish Carassius auratus is to produce fish feed that can full fill Indonesian National Standard SNI , know the change of pigmentation, adder weight, and the survival rate of goldfish. This research is started by transforming A. planci sample to flour then it will be formulated, made artificial feed, and analyze the proximate. There are three treatments. They are artificial feed that contains A planci flour, positive control that using commercial pellets, and negative control using tofu residue.The result of proximate analysis on artificial feed treatment shows that protein, water, and fat comply with SNI. Based on the result of pigmentation scoring in the 4th week, treatment pellets reached score 6 as many as 19, , contol positive pellet reached score 6 as many as 14 and contol positive pellet reached score 7 as many as 7,94 . The calculation of chi square statistic test shows the effect of giving artificial feed to the pigmentation changing on Carassius auratus. That is caused by the astasantin containing in the artificial feed. The highest result of survival rate is 88, 75 on feed treatment, and 77,5 on control positive and 78,5 on negative controlling feed treatment. The result of weight on feed treatment gets 9,25 gram. Based on the result of this research it can be concluded that artificial feed A planci can be used as a feed that affects the pigmentation, weight, and survival of goldfish. |
