ABSTRAK Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menginvestigasi reaksi pasar di Indonesia terhadap pengumuman Peraturan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (POJK) tentang penerapan pedoman tata kelola perusahaan terbuka dengan pendekatan ldquo;comply or explain rdquo;, dan kecenderungan jenis industri industri keuangan atau industri lainnya , serta konsentrasi kepemilikan terhadap kepatuhan implementasi POJK dimaksud dalam laporan tahunan. Uji event study menunjukkan bahwa pengumuman POJK ini tidak direspon oleh pasar. Peraturan ini telah diketahui oleh publik sebelumnya dan OJK telah mengeluarkan ketentuan terkait corporate governance untuk industri tertentu maupun ketentuan lain yang spesifik. Lebih lanjut, hasil analisis data memperlihatkan bahwa industri keuangan memiliki kecenderungan yang lebih tinggi terhadap kepatuhan implementasi POJK. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sektor keuangan dikelola dengan lebih akuntabel dan transparan. Sementara terkait dengan konsentrasi kepemilikan, perusahaan dengan konsentrasi kepemilikan yang tinggi tidak memiliki kecenderungan untuk kurang mematuhi POJK melalui penyampaian penerapan pedoman tata kelola dalam laporan tahunan, mengingat ketentuan tersebut bersifat wajib untuk seluruh perusahaan terbuka. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to investigate the market reaction in Indonesia to the announcement of Financial Service Authority Regulation POJK on the implementation of the guidelines of corporate governance with ldquo comply or explain rdquo approach. In addition, this study is also to look at the trends in industry financial industry or other industries , as well as the ownership concentration on the compliance of the implementation of POJK which intended on the annual report. The event study test shows that this POJK announcements not responded by the market. This regulation has been known by the public before and Financial Service Authority OJK has issued regulations related to corporate governance for any particular industry as well as other specific regulations. Furthermore, the result of the analysis shows that the financial industry has a higher trend to the compliance of the implementation of POJK. This indicates that the financial industry is managed more accountably and transparently. While related to the ownership concentrations, firms with high ownership concentrations do not have a tendency to disobey POJK through the submission of the implementation of guidance of corporate governance in the annual report, since such regulations is mandatory for all public firms. |
