ABSTRAK Artikel jurnal ini mengkaji partisipasi masyarakat dalam transformasi kampung wisata kota. Hal tersebut didasari pada fenomena kampung wisata kreatif berbentuk kampung warna yang sedang berkembang di Indonesia sebagai representasi dari partisipasi masyarakat. Berdasarkan studi sebelumnya, partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan kota khusunya sektor pariwisata dapat berjalan dengan aktif ataupun sebaliknya. Faktor yang dapat mendorong partisipasi masyarakat diantaranya faktor ekonomi, dan adanya sense of community. Di sisi lain, pasifnya partisipasi masyarakat disebabkan oleh faktor kesempatan yang diberikan oleh pemerintah. Hasil-hasil studi tersebut masih terdapat kekurangan karena belum melihat peran agen dalam mendorong partisipasi masyarakat, serta peran seni sebagai bentuk ekspresi diri yang menimbulkan kesenangan dan rasa bangga dapat mendorong partisipasi masyarakat agar lebih aktif dalam program pengembangan pariwisata. Tulisan ini akan membahas tentang Kampung Bekelir Kota Tangerang. Tulisan ini memiliki argumentasi yakni faktor kesempatan, sense of community dan faktor ekonomi tidak cukup mampu mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengembangan pariwisata pada konteks masyarakat perkotaan, tetapi terdapat peran agen serta seni yang dapat mendorong partisipasi masyarakat sehingga menjadi lebih aktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk menggambarkan proses bagaimana agen serta seni berperan dalam mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dalam pembangunan khususnya sektor pariwisata. ABSTRACT This journal article examines the participation of the community in the transformation of the city 39;s tourism village. It is based on the phenomenon of creative tourism village in the form of a growing color village in Indonesia as a representation of community participation. Based on previous studies, community participation in urban development especially the tourism sector can run actively or vice versa. Factors that can encourage community participation include economic factors, and the sense of community. On the other hand, the passive participation of the community is due to the opportunity factor given by the government. The results of those studies are still lacking because they have not seen the role of agents in encouraging community participation, as well as art instruments as a form of self-expression that gives pleasure and pride to encourage active public participation in tourism development programs.This paper will discuss about Kampung Bekelir Kota Tangerang. This article has an argument that the factors of opportunity, sense of community and economic factors are not enough to encourage public participation in tourism development in the context of urban society, but there is an agent and art role that can encourage the participation of the community to become more active. This study uses a qualitative approach with case study methods to illustrate the process of how agents and art play a role in encouraging public participation in development, especially the tourism sector. |
