ABSTRAK
Artikel ini membahas identitas in-between narator Aku dalam esai Place Clich karya Jacques Godbout. Fokus bahasan adalah bagaimana Godbout memperlihatkan identitas in-between yang dimiliki narator Aku melalui analisis struktur teks. Pendekatan sosiologi sastra digunakan untuk melihat konteks latar cerita. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dalam menganalisis teks menggunakan teori Analisis Wacana Kritis yang dikemukakan Siegfried J ger dalam 3 Discourse and knowledge: Theoritical and methodological aspects of a critical discourse and dispositive analysis. Analisis wacana kritis digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi informasi dan memperlihatkan makna tersirat yang menunjukkan ideologi teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan identitas in-between narator Aku diperlihatkan melalui pemikiran dan tindakan narator Aku yang dipengaruhi oleh dua identitas yang ada di Quebec, yaitu kebudayaan Amerika dan Prancis.
ABSTRACT
This article discusses the identity in-between of narrator lsquo;I rsquo; in essay Place Clich , written by Jacques Godbout. The study focused on how Godbout shows the identity in-between whose narrator lsquo;I rsquo; by analyzing text structure. The identity in-between of narrator lsquo;I rsquo; is influenced by two different cultures. By using sociological literary approach, the background context of the story is analyzed to elaborate the identity ambiguity that caused identity inbetween. This research used qualitative method and analyzing text developed by theory of Critical Discourse Analysis proposed by Siegfried J ger. Critical Discourse Analysis is used to identify the information and disclose implicit meanings. Thus, these significances lead to ideology of the text. This research result reveals that the identity in-between of narrator lsquo;I rsquo; is shown by the influences of two distinct cultural identity in Quebec, America and France, and it can be seen separately by his thought and his action. |
