ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas relasi sosial yang timbul dari desain yang mengacu pada efektifitas organisasi Pusat Data dan Informasi (Pusdatin) sebagai salah satu pelaksana fungsi hubungan masyarakat Dewan Perwakilan Daerah Republik Indonesia (DPD RI). Kerangka teori yang dipakai adalah Teori Etzioni tentang Struktur dan Otoritas, Teori Tindakan Sosial dan Teori Desain organisasi oleh Snyder et al. yang membahas aspek pengelompokan unit kerja, koordinasi, rentang kendali, relasi pelaporan dan standarisasi. Metode yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang erat antara desain organisasi dengan dampak relasi social dan efektifitas organisasi itu sendiri. Ini mengonfirmasi Teori Etzioni tentang Strukur dan Otoritas. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif sehingga diperlukan pengukuran kuantitatif untuk melengkapi temuan-temuan kualitatif tersebut. ABSTRACTThis thesis discusses the social relations that arise from the design that refers to the effectiveness of the organization of Data and Information Center (Pusdatin) as one of the implementers of the public relations function of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI). The theoretical framework used is Etzionis Theory of Structure and Authority, Social Action Theory and Organizational Design Theory by Snyder et al. which discusses aspects of grouping of work units, coordination, span of control, reporting relations and standardization. The approach used is qualitative method with observation, in-depth interview and document study. The results showed that there is a close relationship between the design of the organization with the impact of social relations and the effectiveness of the organization itself. This confirms Etzionis Theory of Structure and Authority. This research is qualitative, so quantitative measurement is needed to complement these qualitative findings. |
