Abstrak
ABSTRAK
Makalah ini menjelaskan beberapa perbandingan antara granit dan solid-surface mulai dari ekstraksi, produksi, distribusi, instalasi, dan pembuangan. Konsumsi berlebihan sumber daya alam akan menyebabkan dampak negatif pada alam, oleh karena itu munculnya bahan rekayasa (seperti solid-surface) diharapkan dapat mengurangi dampak negatif tersebut. Granit alami dan solid-surface memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing. Pada setiap aspek, masing-masing material memiliki dampak positif atau negatif pada lingkungan, ekonomi, dan masyarakat. Makalah ini menekankan perbedaan antara kedua bahan tersebut, kami berasumsi bahwa permukaan padat memiliki banyak keunggulan daripada granit alami.
ABSTRACT
This paper explain some comparison of granite and solid-surfaces starting from extraction, production, distribution, installation, and disposal. The excessive consumption of natural resources will cause a negative impact on nature, therefore the emergence of engineered material (such as solid-surface) is expected to reduce this consumption. Natural granite and solid surface have their own advantages and disadvantages. On each aspect, they have a positive or negative impact on the environment, economy, and society. This paper emphasize the different between those two materials, we assumed that the solid-surface has a lot of advantages than natural granite.
