Abstract
Proyek-proyek migas dilakukan sebagai bagian dari dukungan terhadap fasilitas produksi sumber energi. Ada fenomena di pelaksanaan proyek migas, yaitu seringnya terjadi keterlambatan waktu penyelesaian dan kelebihan biaya dari yang direncanakan. Komunikasi merupakan hal yang penting diperhatikan dalam mendukung kesuksesan kinerja proyek. Dibuat suatu hipotesa bahwa peran peran PMO dapat meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi proyek. Kuesioner dilakukan terhadap pimpinan proyek migas Indonesia. SEM-PLS digunakan untuk menganalisa hubungan antara masing-masing variabel. Hasil penelitian memperoleh faktor-faktor dominan dalam komunikasi proyek dan peran PMO. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari peran PMO terhadap komunikasi proyek dalam meningkatkan kinerja proyek migas.
Oil & gas projects are performed to support energy production facilities. There is a fenomena where project execution in oil & gas industry often have experiences in schedule delay and cost overrun compared to the plan. Communication is one of important thing which has impact to the project performance. Hipotesis was developed that PMO role can improve project communication effectiveness. Quesioner was performed distributed to the Oil & Gas Project Managers in Indonesia. SEM-PLS was used to analise relationship among variables. Result obtained dominan factors in project communication and also PMO role. Result also shows that PMO role has a significant influence in project communication to improve the project performance.
