Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang negosiasi identitas tokoh utama dalam film Valentino (2013). Penelitian ini memakai teori film David Bordwell dan Kristin Thompson yang dilihat dari aspek sinematografis. Pendekatan negosiasi menjadi pendukung untuk menganalisis korpus. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan negosiasi dan penolakan identitas yang dipilih tokoh utama untuk menyelesaikan konflik identitasnya. Adanya stereotip orang Belanda terhadap imigran Maroko menjadi penyebab konflik identitas yang dialami tokoh utama. Pada akhirnya tokoh utama memilih untuk tetap mempertahankan identitas Marokonya.
This research discusses the negotiation identity of the main character in the film Valentino (2013). This research uses the theory of the film David Bordwell and Kristin Thompson as seen from cinematographic aspects. The negotiation approach becomes a supporter for analyzing the corpus. The results of this research show that negotiation and rejection of the identity chosen by the main character to resolve their identity conflict. The existence of the stereotype of the Dutch towards Moroccan immigrants is a cause of identity conflict experienced by the main character. In the end the main character chose to keep his Moroccan identity.
